This policy explains how Cassette collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when people use cassette.tech and related features, including account creation, MusicLinks, public profiles, streaming-service integrations, and the Cassette Reddit Devvit app.

Information users provide may include account details, profile information, preferences, content and metadata used to create MusicLinks, playlist links, titles, artwork references, service identifiers, and communications with Cassette.

Information collected automatically may include IP address, device or browser type, language, referring or exit pages, timestamps, page views, clicks, link redirects, error logs, performance metrics, cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies.

For the Reddit Devvit app, Cassette receives only the data needed to convert playlist posts into Cassette smart links: subreddit name, Reddit post id, Reddit post URL when available, Reddit author name when available, created timestamp when available, playlist URL, playlist platform, and post title. Cassette does not receive full comment threads, private messages, Reddit credentials, or arbitrary subreddit history from the app.

Cassette uses information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the service; create and resolve MusicLinks; authenticate users and connected services; prevent abuse; communicate about accounts or support; and comply with law.

Cassette may share information with service providers that help operate the service, streaming services when a user connects an account or opens content in that service, legal or safety recipients when required, and parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. Cassette does not sell personal information for money or use it for third-party cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cassette retains personal information as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Users may contact contact@cassette.tech to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or other rights available under applicable law.

The service is not directed to children under 13. Links to third-party sites or services are subject to those parties' privacy practices. Questions or requests: contact@cassette.tech.
